Welcome to our lab’s website! My name is Dr. Colleen Crouch and am the advisor to a great team. I am originally from Tennessee, so UTK feels like home. Check out my faculty page for my bio.

Graduate Students

My name is Allison Jones, and I was born and raised in Brick, New Jersey. I received my BS in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Tampa and I will be a first-year PhD student at UTK starting in Fall ’22 in Biomedical Engineering. My interests include medical imaging, tissue engineering, and prosthetics.
My name is Kelsey Buonodono, and I grew up in Amesbury, MA. I attended the University of Tampa as an undergraduate, where I earned my BS in Allied Health: Medical Sciences with minors in Physics and Mathematics. In the Fall of ’23 I will be entering UTK as a first year PhD student majoring in Biomedical Engineering. My interests include biomedical imaging, synthetic biology, systems physiology and bioinformatics. 

Undergraduate Students

My name is Ava Delgra, and I’m from Charleston, WV. I’m currently an undergraduate senior studying Biomedical Engineering here at UTK and plan to graduate in May of 2026. I started working in the Crouch Imaging Lab in May of 2024 and my research interests include medical imaging, cell culture, biomechanics, and cardiovascular engineering.

My name is EllaGrey Moody, and I’m from Asheville, North Carolina. I am a sophomore at UTK studying biochemistry, cellular, and molecular biology. After college I plan to enter the field of biological research and work toward getting my PhD. I just began working in Dr. Crouch’s lab at the end of 2024 and my research interests include biomedical imaging and studying neurodegenerative diseases.

Hi, my name is Lindsay Ball, and I’m from Memphis, TN. I am a junior majoring in biomedical engineering on the medical device track at the university. My career interests include the development and design of medical devices, as well as research on how these devices can be used to treat or diagnose various diseases. I am expected to graduate in spring 2027, and after graduation, I plan to pursue a PhD. I am new to Dr. Crouch’s lab and excited for the experience.

My name is Lily Renner, and I’m from Cleveland, Tennessee. I am currently a sophomore undergraduate student studying biomedical engineering and neuroscience, with plans to graduate in May 2028. After college, I hope to pursue a PhD and conduct research on the brain and its diseases. I recently began working with Dr. Crouch this summer, and I am excited to collaborate and learn alongside many other researchers!
